He can write!!

Finally!! After some practice, drilling, scolding.. Dillion finally mastered the right way of holding or griping a pencil. He used to do the 4 fingers grip which is very common for kids and regardless how I guide or nag or even buying tripod pencils for him, he still refuse to do the Tripod Grip.

Credits should be given to his teachers for their patience in guiding and teaching him.

Now the he is in N2, they are more focus on academic like learning phonics, sight words and writing ABCs.
I received complaints from his Teachers that he always does not sit still to do his tracing and have short attention span. He would anyhow trace.. and they seem to have a issue on how he write the letter "A".

They feedback he wrote it bottom up (or stroke up) instead of top to bottom first. Seem like is my fault as thats how i wrote the letter "A" and Dillion been used to writing freely without any dotted lines.
So I guess he never had patient with tracing on dotted lines.

After voicing my concerns on his pencil grip, they assured that they will keep an eye on him and assist to correct him.. I'm glad they did and is a load off my mind!

Actually what are the intended milestones for children of their age? I also asked Kaizer's childcare teacher before if they're expected to be able to "write" legibly at this stage of their life. And I think none in his class can write proper alphabets yet. He only recently started writing "X" freestyle form. But then I also know of other Apr/May 07 children who seem to be able to write/draw so well.

In any case, very good job Dillion!
