Potty Training #101..

I started training Dillion to be off diaper once he turned 2. I remembered it was a much easier process mainly because I was a SAHM.. pratically spending 24/7 with him.

I did the hard way but taking him off diaper regardless he was ready or not.. e.g. Diaperless for 1st hour on Day 1 and slowly increase the hours progressively. We just bite the bullet and did it with lots of hits and misses. He was finally trained after 1 month.

For Damien.. it was not easy even though I had the experience before. And its tougher when I am back at work and also I did not want to trouble or stress his GrandMa whom is his main caregiver at home to be bothered with the cleaning up of his urine/poo.

I started to teach him to say 'Wee' and 'Poot Poot' first and when rest of family went Genting leaving Damien and me in SG.. I took the opportunity to train as there were no hindrance or obstacles at home since I had taken a few days leave to care for him.

There were misses for Day 1 where he will urine or poo momment after potty-ing him.. I gave up after having to clean the mess most the time.. so I revert him back to diaper and forgo potty training plan when I returned to work.

Sometimes he can convey his needs to Poo/Wee and we manage to get it right a few times although he is still on diaper most of times.

Seriously think that wearing a diaper is not a bad idea though my main concern is to cut down on diaper expenses but diaper saves alot of time and effort..

Anyhow, I will have to seriously train him up before he turns 3 as is one of his child care requirement or wish to have him off diaper once he goes to N1.

Here is Damien on the throne..

One of those crazy moment were both boys need to do their big business at the same time!
