Tip of incisor..

This is a rare shot taken when Dillion was almost falling asleep. He always refuse to let me pry open his mouth and take a shot of his teeth..

Toys from overseas spree..

These 2 toys came through the mail last week:
1. Spider-Man & Friends: Itsy Bitsy Spider-Man Jr. from Toysrus

2. Fisher-Price Lil' Snoopy from Allaboardtoys

Cruising..

Nah.. we are not going on a cruise holiday.. Dillion is starting to cruise with support.
Its fun enticing him with a tissue box, making him cruise from one side of bed to the other and most importantly, he did it with a smile!

Trip to Mac..

Daddy feeding D some fries from Mac. Its unhealthy but we still indulge the lil' one.
Both of us were not working, we went to the Mac supposedly for breakfast but we were late so we had to forgo pancakes and go for lunch menu.

Now bringing Dillion out to eat with us is a NIGHTMARE. My friends, if you are reading this and have met up with me and D for a meal, you will understand!

He practically scream 'Murder' if his mouth is empty and if he can't have what we are eating.. he will lay his hands on the table and grab food within his reach.

Lunch date with...

Met up with Calista for lunch at J8 on Wed as she wanna pass me D's pressie as well as well as to do bit of catching up.
Its so difficult to get Dillion to pose for the cammy as he is always fidgeting, refusing to pose. Taken many shots yet still can't get a good one..

Anyway, thanks for the CD & books.. they come in handy and great to hear good news from you!

Gift from Grand Aunt

Dillion's Grand Aunt bought this mini basketball toy for his birthday on top of a red packet.

Godparent's new pad..

We were privileged to be the first few to be invited to their new pad in the west when it TOP few weeks back. Kevin and Dillion went for a dip together with D's god pa. D is a water baby.. he loves water and wail whenever Kevin attempted to bring him out. In the end, they swam for a good 30 min!

Meet Emma & Brandon..

We accompanied D's godparents to do some wall paper shopping @GoodRich for their new pad last Sunday.
I spotted 2 kids playing at a corner sofa so I trooped over with D as I needed to pat him to sleep.

This 2 siblings were ultra friendly, chatty and polite.. very good upbringing i most say. We clicked on fine and they adored D and played with him. People may just mistaken me for a Mama with 3 cute kids! Since their parents were busy choosing wall paper so i clowned around with them by taking photos of 3 kids.

With Poh couple..

We made an impromptu decision to have supper with our friends- Nick and LF on night of D's birthday.

We met up at Xin Wang Cafe @Kovan at 9pm for early supper and brought the boy along though its near his bed time but he was still chirpy and he also ate bit of our supper.
It was so embarrassing when he was literally staring at next table's food and drooling at same time (due to teething)! Thats my boy whom is behaving as if his parents had starved him for the day.

About the cake and the party..

2 months ago I started planning for the party. But I was stucked as I could not think of a appropriate theme for it. Initially i wanted to do a Barney BUT.. D does not really idolise the purple dino hence I decided to do away with theme.

I bought material for party packs in Feb, ordered the deco and got it shipped in Mar. After much consideration and deliberations.. we decided to splurge abit more on booking Children Playroom @Grassroot Club instead of holding in a function room.

The decision on cake design was so very last minute. I only decided on E-creative on the week of his birthday. Because I'm in dilemma as I wanted a 3D cake very much and yet I want a cake that can have lasting impression at least on the photo.
3D cake is a bomb on our pocket as we have to feed 70+ guests. So I settle on 'ONE' as we don't get traditional design anymore..

The bash is more for adults because Dillion won't remember anything unless he looks at the photo in future. Yeap, its a celebration of life.. and we only do it once in a lifetime.

Presents from the Bash..

On behalf of Dillion, we are very grateful to all friends and relatives for gracing this event and making Dillion so well-loved by everyone of you. We are also very thankful for all the presents and ang pow we received. D is the happiest one as he tore open all the presents on his own.

My dear son is so affectionate to Tiger softtoy..

This got me into panic mode.. i told Kevin that we did betta start introducing cars and robots to him soon!

Lastly, D took photo with his fav Aunt and Grandma:

Enjoying himself in ball pit and many kids love to play in there too:

Cake cutting:

It pays to prep D by singing Birthday song a week before so that he won't get turn off by the crowd and cry his head off.

Did not have time to take photos with all the invited guests.. thousand apologies for not being a good host.. here are some of lucky ones we manage to capture:

Happy Labour day !

Happy Labour day to Dillion's Mum.. When i recall what I went through a year ago, memories and tears start flooding back.

I ponder if i have not been eating enough when Dillion was still inside me that he ended up so light weight at birth. Nevertheless, I'm glad to be able to experience natural birth with epi and definitely no regrets on succumbing to epi.

My labour was only 5hours but when i had my contractions, that seem to be eternity! It was so god-dammed painful that i got my hand and legs clinging on to the bed rail. It was painful to power of infinity. Nurse praise me for being so gung-ho but gave in to epi (after 5contractions)when i got 'scolded' by kevin as he knows my pain threshold.

Epi was definitely god-sent. Thereafter my legs were numb but it was quite frantic as Dillion's heart beat was weakening.. i was made to use the mask. I was worried and dilligently breath in as much oxygen as possible as i do not wish to be cut up.

At 8pm, Dr Khi check on me and I'm fully dilated. With all my might and support from Kevin for shouting "Push" which highly motivated me.. with 3pushes, i manage to push what feel like a 'big constipated shit' out of me at 8.18pm.

When they bring this lil' one on to my chest, no words can describe and this feeling was so magical and emotional.

Your are 1!

Dear Dillion..
Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday our Dear Son! A year ago, 5 Apr 07 at 8.18pm, you made your appearance into this world with a cry and changed our life ever since.
When we first saw you, we were overwhelmed with all the love that we felt for you.

You brought us so much joy and happiness and our sunshine in our life. Every milestone you achieved makes us a proud parent. Your laughter, your smile ease our stress at work..Your antics never fail to amuse us..

You are ever so generous with your hugs and smile that it makes our sacrifice and effort all worth it.

It has been an exciting and wonderful 12 months, our dear son. You are now entering a new chapter of your life- Toddlerhood. We may not be the perfect parent but we want to let you know that we LOVE and always cherish and protect you. You are so dear to us and thus we name this blog Dear Dillion.

We don't ask for much but all we pray for is good health and happiness always.

Love,
Daddy & Mummy

I made a boo boo..

I mistaken a toddler for a boy when she was being carried by her Daddy. She has short hair and was wearing a blue tee-dress..

When she pointed at Dillion and said 'baby'.. so i told D to call 'Kor Kor'.. The Daddy's face immediately turn black and walked away.. then i realised i made a Boo Boo!

Sigh.. next time i betta open my eyes big big!

More DHA on stage 2?

Recently, i sold a tin of Mamil stage 2 to a Mummy with a 3 year old girl. Surprised?? I'm too.. We chatted up for awhile..

She told me that actually Stage 2 formula milk contains more DHA. And its ok to continue with Stage 2.

Hmm.. now Enfapro is hurting our pockets at $34. And i can't wait for him to progress to Enfagrow which is double the size at $44.

When i surf Mead johnson and compared.. seem like what she say is true. I will perhaps stick to stage 2 for time being.

New food for him..

New fruits on his menu:
Dragon fruit & rock melon.

Today, i tried and tested by adding left over apple from his puree and cooked it with his porridge.. then added a small slice of cheese minutes before i turn off the fire.
Wow.. the cheese makes the porridge smell good with buttery taste..
