Loot from Korea..

Stuffs that we bought in Korea..

1. Masks, skincare and lotion from FaceShop and Skin Food:

Free gifts and samples from the shops

2. Souvenirs- hp strap, nail clipper, mirror and pouch

3. Their local food products

Korea- Day 8, Saturday..

Our last day at Korea.. a tinge of sadness because we bonded very well with 36 tour members and we were like a big family. They were all helpful in entertaining and babysit D whilst we eat.

Last day was spent going to shops like Ginseng, Dong Chung Chao as well as their local products shop.
Not forgetting our tour leader brought us to Face Shop where they have mandarin-speaking retail staffs. Everyone spend a bomb there.

I'm pleased with my loot from the Face Shop which is the only stuffs worth buying in Korea!

At the airport, waiting for our air tickets to be issued..

With our tour leaders:

D watching his Leapfrog DVD on the plane. He watched it 3 times!

On return flight back to S'pore, we were well prepared by keeping the snack bag underneath our seat. There were no passengers beside us so D get to have his own seat. Otherwise he will have to sit on Daddy's lap.

I finally completed my 8 days itinery. We miss the cool weather in Korea and D came back with a rosy cheeks!

Korea- Day 7, Friday..

Lunch- Stewed chicken

D looking grumpy as he woke up from his nap:

He had Heinz jarred porridge as they were lots bones in the chicken and I'm handicapped w/o my HK scissors:(

This is the only flavour that D will eat as it taste better than tuna, beef etc.

Deoksugung Palace
Our Korean-Chinese speaking tour leader:

Young chap whom is our photographer for our tour group .. cute bor?

Shopping at Shinshegae. One of the high end shopping district and pasar malam on the opposite road where we can buy cosmetics like FaceShop, Skin Food etc

Korea- Day 6, Thursday..

Its so not easy updating holidays photos.. rest of the entries will be short and sweet.

Woke up early again so that we can be in time for Everland Theme Park

Kevin and I were lamenting that now we are parents, we have to take kiddy rides with Dillion like the carousel, train, ferris wheel.. felt like we have grown old already.
We were given 5 hours to explore but we did not cover the entire resort.

Suwon Hwaseong Fortress
Korea's version of Great wall of china

Shopping at Doota.. all selling winter wear. It was so boring that we sat time at a cafe to kill time

Dinner- Bim bim bap with steam boat

Our hotel in Seoul- Green World

Korea- Day 5, Wednesday...

Woke up bright and early again and we went to :
Osaek Mineral Spring
"From three base rocks at the resort come rivulets flowing with water high in iron and carbonic acid, which is good for stomach-ailments, anemia, and neuralgia"

The water taste like Isotonic drink

Nice tree.. trees in Korea are so kawaii.. very scenic!

Daebohan Seafood Market
Its a market where we can see live seafood.. nothing fantastic but D had fun with public telephone booth

Mt Sorak

Our tour leader claimed that one will strike lottery if you touch the statue:

We took a cable car and mountain trekking to reach the top of the mountain. Nice view from the top!

Our dinner:

Our Hotel- Oak Valley..
One of the best that we have stayed. It spacious with a living room & kitchenette

Korea- Day 4, Tuesday...

We woke up early at 6am, had breakfast at the hotel then went to the airport for our flight back to Seoul.

Our lunch- BBQ Pork and everything you see is all free flow!!

Dillion's lunch is on the left- Rice with soup and pork.

Wawoojeongsa Temple
One of the Buddhist temple in Gyeonggi province. The flight of stairs were a killer!

Kevin climbed up further but i stopped mid way because no stamina!

Hanhyanjeon Ginseng Farm + DIY Kimchi making
We get to dressed up in Korean national costume before making Kimchi

Bonding time between my 2 boys:

Both of them looked like Eunuch!

Me & my not so good looking Kimchi:

D with the pumpkins

Yeoju Premium Outlets
This is a shopping area which house many authentic designer brands like Coach, Burberry, LSS, Nike and they are having sale. Its a pity that I do not have the luxury and time to shop on my own.

One thing i love about Korea is that we can find hot/cold water dispenser machine everywhere and in most of the restaurants and shopping centres.

This is the portable DVD player that we bought before we depart. Its useful in entertaining Dillion and get him to sit still. He can watch the Leapfrog- Letter Factory dvd countless time!

Dinner- Steamboat again! (good for cold weather)
but the soup is spicy so I gave D instant Pigeon's Corn soup with rice

Hotel- Kensington Flora Hotel
We got to try tatami style

Korea- Day 3, Monday...

We started our Day 3 bright and early with a morning call at 7am (6am, S'pore time) followed by:
Breakfast- Abalone Porridge (free flow) but cannot really taste the abalone

We had to climb to the top to view the peak of the inactive volcano.

Can you spot Dillion? As we were at the peak so its very very windy and Daddy koala his dear son:

Seongeup Folk Village
Where they also sell honey and one for the fliming places for Da Chang Jin which we never watched at all!! Anyhow, its a boring place

Lunch- BBQ Pork
They serve free flow of pork and side dishes. Gosh we are really pigging out!

As this meal is not suitable for D.. so we gave him rice with Pigeon- Retortable Food
Vegetable Stew With Tuna
which he only took a few mouthful

CheonjiyeonWaterfall
One of the famous waterfall in Jeju

Another famous fliming place for Da Chang Jin

Teddy Bear Museum

Mysterious road
Dokebi Road also called Mysterious or Ghost Road in Jeju where cars roll uphill with the engine turned off. Notice the water mark on the road at the right. This is an illusion. Due to the lack of a true horizon, subconsciously our judgement of a slope is misled by the false horizon in that area. This is not unique to Jeju alone but the Koreans have done a great job marketing this Mysterious Road or Ghost Road into a tourist spot.
