Many passer by, strangers, friends, relatives etc had all raised their concern and pointed out to us that D has got 'cross-eyed', also known as Squint or lazy eyes.
His left eye always turn inwards and its obvious if you have looked closely at all the photos posted on this blog.
Initially i chose to ignore since PD had not said anything and harbour hopes that it will self-correct as he gets older but when people keep alerting me thus I need to do something fast and remedy it since he is still young.
So an appointment was made with KKH's eye clinic (for kids)on 17 July.
D with Daddy @ clinic
D struggled when Doc patch the good eyes (right eye) but when he patch the lazy left eye.. he did not struggled much.
My heart dropped when he said for us to go for further test .. he mumbled to the nurse " put eye drop, see optometrist etc" I thought die lah.. this boy may have to wear specs.
End of it all.. Doc's diagnosis was that he has a squint and may have long sightedness and we have to go back again for further test to confirm which treatment he needs.
And if he really has got weak eye muscle.. a surgery may be necessary.
So now we need to patch his good right eye an hour a day.
Trust me its a torture and painful experience for me.. when i look at him:
I asked myself.. what has i done wrong when i was pregnant or what have i not done right when he was born?? Is it because i did not do any eye exercise with him?
Anyhow, the doc assured me that its no fault of us as this condition is in-born and not hereditary and definitely not due to watching TV!
