We went for a follow up with KKH eye clinic for D's squint on 7 Aug 08. When i handed over appointment card to the nurse.. she said "wow poor thing, so young have to put this eye drop" (we were instructed to put prescribed eye drop on his eyes 3 days prior to checkup)
Wow.. i was stunned, speechless, dazed etc.. was wondering what will they be doing to D?
The Doc explained it was to dilate his eyes. It was a struggle to put the drops on him.. but I'm glad we succeed otherwise we have to go back for check up again.
Result: His has long sight of 150 degree which can do without glasses however we have to go for further check up to determine if he is ready for an eye operation to correct his weak eye muscles.
Whilst i was waiting for our turn.. I saw a parent with a 4-5 month old Baby girl. And the girl was wearing GLASSES! Heart-breaking right??
My tears rolled down when i see the baby.. And you know how it would attract many stares on the girl.
I hope everything works out well for the girl and the family!
So take good care of your Child's eyes..
