No prep talk, nothing at all to prepare him for this visit. I simply just asked him at the entrance if he is ready to visit the Dentist, and also asked him if he remembered about the book "Going to the Dentist"

He gave a nod and said 'Ok' to seeing uncle Dentist.
When we stepped into the consultation room.. the Dentist was friendly, trying to get D to warm up to him. But D refused to lie on the chair on his own. So he had to lie on top of me.
D was very co operative to my surprise so Dentist managed to count his teeth (18 in total) then proceed to clean his teeth.
However after rinsing, D refused to lie down again so Dentist got to check his teeth with him in sitting position.
Dentist commented that D's teeth was quite well-maintained. No cavities found but there were dental plague which is due to incorrect brushing.
Dentist was quite spot on as I always have difficulties brushing his front tooth. So he did a demo for D on the correct way of brushing. And also recommended to change his toothbrush every month instead of 3 months which I did before.
Total cost was $50. He was also given a small box in the shape of a molar tooth for him to keep any of his baby tooth which would drop out in future.
I'm so very proud of my lil' boy for his bravery and he is really growing up!
