When we first started using it in May, it was met with resistance from D as I think it looks scary to him having a mask over his mouth. Then the cough attack stopped and then it re-surfaced again in July.
This time I was surprised that D did not struggle at all. I think reading the story of "Three Little Pigs" helped abit. As I told him that he must be like the big bad wolf, so must "Huff and Puff" into the mask inorder to "blow their house down". And also encouraged him to sing his "ABCs" and "Numbers" into the mask in order to let him hold on to the mask a lil' longer.
He buy my story and rest is history. With the puff, his cough was well controlled and do not cough as badly as before.
