For the year of 2009, I have to count my blessing to be a Stay-at-home-Mum and be able to care and bond with Dillion.
We let Dillion stayed past mid night for the first time and looking at him asleep now, made me feel so thankful to have him so precious and thankful to have him in my life.
He is such a big boy now, able to talk and amuse us in many ways. And we can now hold a decent conversations. I'm glad that my time and effort spent in teaching and nurturing him paid off. Seeing him able to recite his A-Zs, numbers etc etc.. made me beam as a Mummy. I'm absolutely proud of his lil' talent in recognising simple words and read short sentences from his favourite books on his own.
Both of us have bonded in many ways. I can feel his selfless and innocent love for me especially with his hugs and kisses and say "I Love You Mummy" spontaneously.
Starting school had to be the biggest milestone for him in 2009. He proved to me that he is no longer a baby and is all grown up and independent like wearing his own shoes and self-feed in school. Seeing him enjoying school makes me lessen my guilt in sending him to child care while I enjoy my me-time.
Because of school, we chalked up high medical bills (from visit to PD) due to his frequent cough/cold and I certainly hope 2010 would be a virus free year for him.
For 2010, I wish for good health and safety for my boy. And to enjoy every moment as a better Mum!
