Mr Helpful..

From the BabyCentre:

29 month old

At 29 months, most toddlers love to take on projects all over the house but their interests run more towards creating than cleaning up. If yours leaves a mess wherever he parks himself, keep your cool and try one of these tricks to get him to polish up his cleaning skills: If he's finished with a puzzle, help him break the pieces up as part of the game. Or, if he's in training to be the next Picasso, show him that putting away crayons in his art box is part of being an artiste. And don't forget to praise his efforts at being tidy; a little positive reinforcement goes a long way

Its been eons since I last followed BabyCentre's development (via email). Because Dillion was slowed in his motor skills when he was a baby so if I were to follow BabyCentre then I would be a very paranoid and worried Mummy.

Well, it was the first 2 lines that caught my eye. Indeed he is now the most helpful and busybody in the household. He loves to follow me every where I go in the house.

He will gladly take the broom and sweep the floor, help me to hang clothes, fold clothes (or rather anyhow dump clothes into the wardrobe), send dish for washing.. and even make his own milk.

An example: wiping the table after dinner

My boy is so grown up now.. he feels happy helping me out and always fun to see him doing and hopefully will make him a responsible boy.
