Unexciting weekend!

Saturday:
Dillion had mild fever during the day but temperature rose to 39.5 at night which is high grade fever.
We sponge and fed him paracetamol.

I made a boo boo by underfeeding him the required dosage of paracetamol as i was actually looking at my old stock of medicine in my fridge when it state 1.25ml dated Oct 07. After checking with my doctor-cousin then i realised we have to feed the right amount of dosage based on their weight!. Immediately discard and look at his new ones which state 2.5ml.

Sunday:
His temp went down and we were very much relieved thinking he is on road to recovery.
But his appetite was lousy, rejecting everything i offered including milk. He shove away my bowl of mee-sua for lunch so i quickly cooked porridge and yet it was rejected too!
I was in panic mode and almost pulling my hair off as I don't wish for him to be dehydrated.

In the evening, his temp hit 38.5 and off we go to the GP.
Diagnosis:
Fever could be either cause by injection or onset of flu

Given these medicines:

Came back and fed him Nurofen at 7.45pm.

However, his fever was stil ragging high and even hit 39.8 despite a stronger medicine thus we trooped down to TMC- 24hr outpatient at 1am.

Doc gave the same diagnosis as the GP thus nothing much we can do but to monitor and feed medicine.

We were dead tired and its indeed an expensive and a painful weekend for the Ngs
